Description of Duties
A well-known butchery is seeking a highly organized and proactive Branch Manager to oversee all operations and functions at their Bloemfontein branch. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills and be adept at managing multiple responsibilities efficiently. Oversee all aspects of branch operations, including ordering stock and managing sundry expenses. Coordinate the distribution of processed meat to wholesale customers. Handle staff-related inquiries and address labor disputes effectively. Supervise cashiers, ensure daily banking procedures are completed accurately, and implement marketing initiatives to enhance customer engagement. Maintain exceptional customer service standards and conduct regular customer visits to gather feedback and address concerns. Prepare and update price lists and costings for all products. Manage bookkeeping tasks and compile monthly sales figures for reporting purposes. Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new staff members. Ensure monthly targets are met through strategic planning and effective management of resources. Handle employee timesheets and maintain accurate records of hours worked. Implement and manage leave systems, policies, and procedures. Address and manage all workplace injuries and associated administrative duties. Perform general HR administrative tasks to support the branch's operational needs.
Qualifications
Matric. Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in retail or in a butchery. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software applications. Knowledge of HR policies and procedures. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
