Description of Duties
Waiter / Waitress
As a Waiter/Waitress, your role is to provide outstanding dining experiences, ensuring guests receive exceptional service while upholding the highest hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Engagement: Warmly welcome guests, present menus, take orders, and offer personalized recommendations to enhance their dining experience.
Service Excellence: Demonstrate efficiency, courtesy, and confidence in all interactions, prioritizing guest satisfaction in every aspect of service.
Operational Setup: Prepare the dining area according to specified meal settings and operational requirements, contributing to revenue goals while managing costs.
POS System Management: Accurately input orders into the POS system, ensuring all items are billed correctly and handling guest payments efficiently.
Workstation Maintenance: Keep workstations clean and organized, promptly reporting any issues related to maintenance or cleanliness to the appropriate teams.
Ongoing Training: Participate in regular training sessions to improve customer service skills, product knowledge, grooming standards, and upselling techniques.
Team Coordination: Collaborate with host staff, kitchen personnel, and fellow team members to ensure a seamless dining experience for all guests.
Issue Resolution: Address guest complaints professionally, escalating to supervisors when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
Event Support: Assist in the setup, service, and breakdown of special events, adhering to established procedures and standards.
Flexibility in Duties: Be willing to assist in various areas of the hotel or dining outlets as needed, demonstrating adaptability and commitment to team success.
Qualifications
Strong communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Previous experience in the food and beverage industry is preferred, along with an understanding of hotel standards.
Knowledge of health, hygiene, and safety protocols within a hospitality context.
