Description of Duties
The Instructional Designer will play a critical role in designing engaging, learner-centric training programmes and materials for our diverse portfolio. The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop tailored learning experiences, both online and in blended learning formats, that meet SETA and industry standards
In this role, you will be responsible for creating innovative learning solutions that align with our company s vision of empowering learners and supporting companies in optimizing their skills development initiatives. You will be integral in ensuring that our programmes; ranging from learnerships to skills development and short courses—are effective, engaging, and meet the needs of both learners and employers.
This role requires proficiency in using Moodle for uploading and managing learning materials, as well as the ability to work with AI tools such as Canva for creating presentations, videos, and slides. The ideal candidate will stay abreast of the latest AI-driven tools that enhance teaching and learning delivery. The Instructional Designer will report directly to the Academic Lead and collaborate with various teams to ensure the smooth delivery of high-quality learning experiences.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in instructional design, e-learning, or educational content development.
Proficiency in Moodle for managing and uploading learning materials is essential.
Strong experience with AI tools like Canva for creating presentations, videos, and slides.
Familiarity with the latest AI-driven tools that enhance teaching and learning delivery.
Strong consultancy and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Experience working with SETAs and knowledge of SETA-related accreditation processes is highly advantageous.
Familiarity with creating content aligned to specific learning outcomes and frameworks.
