Description of Duties
We are seeking a detail-orientated and highly motivated Business Advisory Analyst. The successful candidate will play a key role in the accuracy and timelines of financial reporting and reconciliations, while contributing to the effectiveness of the broader finance team, acting as the key link between the accounting and advisory teams. The role is ideal for someone who is systems-driven, comfortable working independently and confident in working with financial date, reporting tools and occasional client interaction The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following skills and attributes: Computer Literacy: Advanced Excel and strong experience in Xero, Fathom, Syft Deadline-Drive: Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a high standard of accuracy, can manage recurring deadlines and multiple clients independently Analytical thinking: Able to interpret data, identify trends and provide decision-useful insights Systems Orientated: Strong understanding of tools, integrations and workflow design Reconciliations: Strong reconciliation and analytical skills Journal Processing: Solid understanding of journal entries and general ledger functions Time Management: Excellent planning and prioritisation abilities, capable of balancing high-priority tasks across multiple projects Communication: Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills Administration: High level of administration accuracy and organizational ability Teamwork: Willingness and ability to work effectively as part of a team and firm wide
Qualifications
Grade 12/Matric Relevant B Com degree Accounting/Management Accounting Completed Articles (SAICA or SAIPA or CIMA) Experience in using Xero and Excel (advanced level) working of Fathom, Syft or Power BI preferred Relevant commercial accounting experience in a similar environment (preferably post articles) Valid Driver's license
